PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION OF THE AESA PROJECT MANAGEMENT MANUAL.
The implementation of the Project Management Manual (MGP) is a strategic initiative of AESA that seeks to define a logical methodology that allows us to evaluate, design and then efficiently manage our projects; identifying and controlling all types of risks, restrictions and main stakeholders that positively impact and ensure its success.
This initiative is led by the Project and New Business Development team led by Alexander Colonia and focuses on the use of the methodology developed by the Project Management Institute (PMI), which will guide us to implement the MGP from the design stages , start, execution and closure of projects.
The Project Management Manual is a practical guide that defines methodologies, processes and knowledge, to manage projects efficiently and standardize processes from the evaluation and design of the project until its closure.
The Project Management Manual is applicable to all projects executed by AESA, with the direct responsibility of the Operations Manager and the Project Manager.
The project management cycle describes what is necessary to manage the project.
- Start: Preliminary definition and formal authorization of the project.
- Planning: Implementation and detailed planning of the project.
- Execution: Execution of the project according to the plan and based on contractual agreements.
- Control: Measure and regularly monitor the progress of the project.
- Close: Finish the activities defined in the work plan, to officially complete the project.
Conceptual model of the Project Management Manual (MGP-AESA).
The advantages of the Project Management Manual (MGP):
This implementation ensures that all AESA projects are executed taking into account good project management practices under the PMI approach.
Its correct use guarantees the success of all projects executed by AESA and, in turn, controls the risk of each being managed under different guidelines and approaches.
This initiative seeks to challenge the entire organization towards a culture change with a Project Management approach, for this, the entire AESA team is committed to joining efforts to achieve the established objectives and goals, in addition to having the support of the General management.
